Frequently Asked Questions

Can I call you Alex?
My name is Alexandria. Thanks for being so understanding!

Will you blurb my book?
Please send all blurb requests through my agent.

Are you available for panels/interviews/book clubs?
Possibly! Please contact emily.dansky@harpercollins.com

Do I have to read the 'Written in the Stars' series in order?
No, each book (Written in the Stars, Hang the Moon, and Count Your Lucky Stars can be read as a standalone. However, if you read out of order you will encounter spoilers for the other couples in the series.

Your books are queer. What's the specific rep in each book?

Hang the Moon (Bisexual main character)
Count Your Lucky Stars (Bisexual main character, Pansexual main character)
The Fiancée Farce (Bisexual main character, Bisexual main character)
Truly, Madly, Deeply (Bisexual main character, Bisexual main character)

What are your thoughts on bisexual representation in media?
Feminist Book Club Interview

What are your characters' astrological placements?
Elle (Pisces sun, Scorpio moon, Pisces rising)
Darcy (Capricon sun, Pisces moon, Taurus rising)
Brendon (Aquarius sun, Sagittarius moon, Pisces rising)
Annie (Sagittarius sun, Sagittarius moon, Aquarius rising)
Margot (Aries sun, Scorpio moon, Scorpio rising)
Olivia (Libra sun, Cancer moon, Leo rising)
Gemma (Leo sun, Gemini moon, Sagittarius rising)
Tansy (Taurus sun, Libra moon, Cancer rising)
Truly (Scorpio sun, Scorpio moon, Leo rising)
Colin (Cancer sun, Libra moon, Taurus rising)

Did Darcy pass her FSA exam?
Yes, of course! Originally, I had a line in Hang the Moon that mentioned the vacation Elle & Darcy took to Vancouver was partially to celebrate Darcy passing her exam, but the line got chopped during copy edits/ page proofs and I didn't realize it wasn't mentioned somewhere else in the text. Darcy is brilliant and dedicated, so of course, she passed with flying colors! Rest assured, everyone in my books not only lives happily ever after relationship-wise but is fulfilled in their careers, too.

Are you going to write more books set in the 'Written in the Stars' universe? Or more books about Elle & Darcy?
At this point, I have no plans to revisit the WITS characters. If you've read Count Your Lucky Stars, I hope you enjoyed the epilogue. I gave all of my characters the conclusion I wanted for them.
